Obituary for Loretta A. Britton (Goodwyn)
Loretta Ann Britton (Goodwyn), devoted daughter to the late Frederick and Loretta Mae, married to Robert Joseph for 57 wonderful years, loving mother to Gerard Anthony and his wife Colleen. Delighted grandmother of Caroline Loretta.
A lifelong resident of the City of New York, born and raised in Brooklyn, Loretta was a proud graduate of St. Patrick's Grammer School and Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge. Loretta later relocated to Middle Village Queens where she and husband Robert raised their son Gerard. Before devoting her life to her son, Loretta worked in various financial firms as an executive assistant on Wall Street. She was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Hope RC Church in Middle Village as well as St. Theresa of Lisieux in Montauk New York, where the family spent many joyous summers. Most recently, Loretta was thrilled to welcome her grandaughter Caroline into the world.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by many.
