Condolences

Condolence From: James Chapman
Condolence: To Augie's lovely wife Lena and all his family Dee and I offer our condolencesand prayers; I can first remember seeing Augie back in the mid 50s when he would come by to see his future soul mate to be, Lena Fischetti, who lived next door; I was just a young guy but Augie radiated something kind of special and then I found out that he was a Marine; one of the first if not the first Marine I ever knew; then when ever he was around my friend Anthony and I would pepper him with questions about how it was to be a Marine; I went to his wedding and then lost contact with him for a number of years; I linked up with him via Fish (Pappa Fish) and conveyed to him him my appreciation for his service in the Corps during the Korean war. You know Marines never die we will see you Augie on Heavens Scene Guarding the streets. R.I.P. Augie and Semper Fi

Condolence From: Cynthia Alvarez
Condolence: Hello, my name is Cynthia Alvarez. I saw the obituary of your loved one, Augustine V. DeSimone. Please receive my condolences; I can imagine what a challenging time this must be for you and your family since I have lost loved ones. The loss of a loved one leaves a deep and lasting emotional wound; therefore, its normal to grieve and mourn. Grieving is a necessary emotional release and releasing your feelings can relieve the pressure you are under. As days go by, you might ask yourself “How can I live with my grief?” I would like to share with you what has helped me cope with my loss; I’ve found comfort and hope in God’s word the Bible. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 says “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials”. Psalms 34:18 says “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” These bible scriptures taught me that God draws close to us in our times of need and that he’s able and willing to help us since he really understands how we feel. I invite you to take a moment and read these scriptures in your own bible. Also, please take the time to visit online jw.org and under Publications> Books & Brochures scroll down to find the brochure Can the Dead Live Again? and the brochure When Someone You Love Dies. These brochures offer us great comfort because they are based on the Holy Scriptures. I truly desire that you find comfort in this divine hope.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Alvarez
