Condolence: By accident I learned of "Nicky's" passing just today. Sad news indeed. I knew him way back when. He was one of a kind, and is missed. Rest in peace Nick with Lucy, Scott, Joey, and your Dad. God Bless.

Condolence: Dearest Nicky and Family,

Although it is two months already since we lost Nick, I'm still weeping. The world lost a gem. The image of Nick becoming frail was unimaginable to me. I will always remember him as the strong, handsome, healthy man I met in 1975. It's hard to describe how much I admired him. He was always the truest of gentlemen: kind, compassionate, polite. There was nothing superficial about him - possibly that fact stands out the most. It is testament to the power of Nick's personality that four decades after it was my good fortune to be introduced, and for a time join his weekly group dinners in Little Italy, that he still holds a place of prominence in my heart and memory. He was the very most decent man I've known in my 46 years in NYC. He is deeply missed. I am truly, deeply sorry for your loss.

Love, Mia
