Great Guy

Bernie was a great guy and a friend.  We attended many AAfPE conferences and visits, and Bernie helped move both paralegal education and the paralegal career field forward.  One year Bernie was at  a Charleston, SC conf. and was like a kid in a new world, amazed at the history and culture.  I took Bernie to a Shem Creek restaurant named 'The Wreck',  which had no central heat or air, with a concrete floor and plastic furniture...180 from the Charleston Battery elegance.  When they brought out the fresh scallops, I thouight I was going to loose Bernie.  He gave them his highest praise, comparison with his grandmother's.  Bernie truly loved life, and it showed in all he did.
